We at R bar farms are a small family farm, raising up to 5 acres of produce per year as well as chickens, heritage hogs and honeybees.
We value watching our boys, animals and plants grow. Spending time together as a family and providing clean food for our communities are the goals of the farm.

We have been raising Non GMO produce since 2023. We use Regenerative/ Organic Farming practices giving special attention to seed and soil health. The seeds that we plant are organic/ non GMO only from trusted safe sources or seeds that we have saved ourselves.
We do raised beds with plastic mulch to preserve moisture and for weed control. We plant nutrient building cover crop between rows to feed the soil and help suppress weed growth.
Cover crops are used for winter cover.
We use organic neem oil to control pests (does not kill the micro biology in your soil)if other methods are not working.
Our chickens are raised on non GMO Soy free feed. They are pasture raised so have plenty of room to run around and scratch for bugs. Due to being soy-free palm oil is added to our feed which produces an egg that is high in omega three.
We also raise heritage breed pigs. Our pigs are raised on pasture and fed hay when pasture is depleted. We also give them non gmo feed to balance their diet. We have a farrow to finish operation and don’t use antibiotics or vaccines. Currently we’re setting up a locker on the farm for custom slaughter.
We also have honeybees that are predominantly Italian that we use for pollination and honey production. A pollinator needs to pollinate a cucumber flower over 10 times to produce a straight cucumber. It’s a buzz around here in the summer time.
