About Us
The Garden Gate, LLC operation is located on our family farm. My husband, Chris and I, are the 5th generation on the farm raising our kids ages 17, 14, and 8.
We moved to the farm in 2009 and I began my venture in 2011 adding a small fruit orchard of native berries, including elderberries, serviceberries, chokeberries, blueberries, native cranberries, raspberries, and honeyberries. In June 2012, I received a NRCS grant to put up a high tunnel to produce food to go into the local economy. In 2013, I began going to farmers markets in Yankton and Vermillion selling a large array of vegetables, herbs, and fruits.

Practices
All of our products are produced without any synthetic pesticides. We use all natural control methods to keep insects and diseases at bay.
